Dye House Weddings

Dye House is a boutique hotel and event space located in the historic Olneyville neighborhood of Providence, Rhode Island. This former textile mill has tons of character and is perfect for the couple looking for a unique wedding venue in Providence.

Event Spaces

The Studio

The Studio at Dye House is the main event space for weddings to be hosted. With white painted brick walls, brick and concrete floors, and massive windows that let in tons of natural light. One of the best parts about the space is the flexibility with layout. Because it’s just one large open room, you can set up chairs for a ceremony with your backs to either wall of windows or the shorter edge with a white drywall background. You can also do a center dance floor or one on any side of the room. I’ve seen it done a couple of different ways, and each way is unique and perfect for the couple.

The Lot

Yes, that’s right. Their lot may look small, but I’ve seen it easily hold a tent with cocktail tables, a grazing table, and a mobile bar as well as 60+ guests. This is a perfect spot for cocktail hour if you want to have your coordinator do a room flip – meaning chairs only and an aisle for your ceremony then tables and chairs with a dance floor for the reception. It’s also a great option on a nice evening for a lounge space to give your guests a reprieve from the dance floor.

Staying Overnight at Dye House

One of the most insane perks of having a wedding at Dye House is that you can also rent out one or all four of their boutique hotel rooms for the weekend so that you have an cute and convenient place for all your getting ready needs as well as a place to easily crash at the end of the night. One couple of ours even opened up the loft space for guests to come in and relax while using a photo booth, giving themselves temporary tattoos and filling out a crossword puzzle. And I’ll also say that the couches in the loft make for some epic vibey photos.

Wedding Planning Considerations

  • There are no vendor restrictions – you can hire any caterer, florist, photographer, hair and makeup artist, rentals, etc that you would like so long as you get them approved with Dye House in advance.
  • Dye House is a pet friendly space – so yes, furry friends can join you at your wedding and overnight (in certain rooms).
  • They do have on site event staff to ensure the maintenance of the property, but they highly recommend hiring a planner or at least a day of coordinator to make sure your day runs smoothly.
