The Providence Public Library has distinct spaces where you can host your ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dancing giving your guests an insane experience! The space also comes with a coordinator and catering lead from one of the most respected caterers in the New England event space – Russell Morin. So not only will you have delicious food, but you’ll also have a great on site venue coordinator who knows the space well, will coordinate behind the scenes with your other vendors, and make sure your night goes smoothly.
Event Spaces at the Providence Public Library
The Grand Hall
Arched openings and marble floors serve as the setting for this stunning space, most commonly used for on site wedding ceremonies. With intricate carvings and soft lighting you’ll feel instantly transported to a different era in this space.
The Garden Courtyard
Don’t let the name fool you – there is no garden per se, but there is a stunning sunken courtyard. Perfect for providing separate spaces for your guests to mingle, this area typically serves as a location for cocktail hour and again later for dancing. Guests will be surrounded by ornate railings, skylights, crown moldings, and a massive chandelier.
The Ship Room
This subtly nautical-themed room boasts tall ceilings and gorgeous wood bookshelves filled with models of ships and other historic items based around Rhode Island’s nautical roots. It has the perfect mix of light and dark making for an excellent spot to host your guests for your wedding dinner.

Though used less frequently, due to it’s smaller square footage, this elegant green room is an excellent option for those couples with a higher guest count who need additional seating.
