Located just outside of Boston in Somerville, MA, Dearly Studio is the perfect ceremony space for couples eloping or looking for the perfect micro wedding space in the northeast. It’s tucked away on the second floor of Bow Market with enough space for you, your hunny, and just over a dozen guests and takes inspiration from Las Vegas wedding chapels with disco balls, a bar, a wood paneled backdrop, and a gorgeous dried floral installation and skylight overhead.
Sara and Michael agreed that this was the perfect place to get hitched when they decided to say I Do at Dearly this past August. They kept their day super intimate, bringing along only Michael’s mom and sister and their adorable and extremely well-behaved dog, Barkley and zooming in some more friends and family on their laptop. And they asked us to photograph it with our signature mix of digital, 35mm and Polaroids.
We eased into their day by arriving a little early to Bow Market and wandering around the shops. First, they popped by Vinyl Index to peruse the record collection – a personal dream of mine for our couples to do on their wedding day. I mean how much more can you ask for than a bride in a vintage dress browsing through records? It’s such a vibe!
Then, they popped over to the creative geniuses at Rococo Floral co. to pick up their bouquet and boutonniere in the cutest little floral shop ever. I mean how dreamy are those colorful summer florals? Obsessed!
Finally, we arrived at Dearly Studio to settle in for their nuptials! Jusmine, the lovely owner and built in officiant at Dearly, conducted the most beautiful ceremony for Sarah and Michael, incorporating personal elements of their love story and providing space for them to exchange the sweetest vows. Of course, Barkley was so excited for his parents that he just had to interrupt the ceremony in the cutest way too! And they sealed it with a kiss!
After their I Dos, they enjoyed a macaron tower (or as they like to call it, a maca tower) from Maca, snacks from mom, and a toast with the most delicious “Capri Fun” pouches (gin and fresh watermelon juice)!
As their hour quickly came to an end, we ended their marriage celebration with a little walk around the neighborhood with Barkley and bid them farewell as they adjourned to their nearby home to enjoy some take out and video games!
