You can expect that throughout this process, we'll affirm and support you in your unique identities and expression of love for one another. And this extends to your friends and family too. As the day gets closer, we'll ask about their pronouns, quirks, abilities and more so that EVERYONE is comfortable and has fun at your wedding!

The secret to a stress-free wedding photo experience
Before I (Meaghan) was a wedding photographer I was a bridal stylist followed by a wedding coordinator for one of the top caterers in CT - so you can say I know a thing or two about the wedding industry. When you hire us to photograph your day, you can feel good knowing that you'll have access to all the resources and timeline coordination you'll ever need to have a fun and relaxed wedding experience.
Once we've had our vibe check and you've selected your photo package, I'll send you a contract and invoice to complete - then you're booked! But here's a bit more of what to expect throughout the process leading up to your wedding day.

You're not planning this alone! I'm accessible for planning advice and to help you sort through all of your crazy cool ideas anytime. I'll also craft your custom photography timeline using your responses to a questionnaire and our final details meeting. If you have a planner, we’ll coordinate with them as well!

Q: WHat is the benefit of having a second shooter?
A: Absolutely! Think of an engagement shoot as more of a practice shoot than anything. It's a great way to get a handle on what it will feel like to be photographed when you get married and for us to get the chance to get to know each other better. It will get you more comfortable in front of the camera and give us a better feeling of how the two of you interact with one another. Don't worry - we don't do cheesy engagement photos. Want to grab a beer at your favorite pub or maybe grab your pup and take a stroll through your favorite neighborhood in the city? We're down!
Q: SHOULD WE HAVE AN ENGAGEMENT SESSION?
A: You can expect roughly 1/4 - 1/3 of your gallery to be film photos and the rest to be digital. And we usually take between 1-3 Polaroids per hour. However, we always tailor our approach a bit to each couple's preferences as well as other factors such as lighting, locations, movement, timeline, etc.
Q: HOW MUCH FILM VS DIGITAL PHOTOS WILL WE GET?
A: At RTP, we strongly believe that all bodies are beautiful exactly the way that they are. We will never retouch skin, reshape bodies, or change up your hair and makeup. The only retouching edits we make will get rid of a rogue piece of trash in the background, for example. We capture the day as it happens and our editing reflects that as well.
